13 Fishing took the opportunity to launch their new Inception Reel at ICAST 2015. This new reel is an addition to their Concept reel series and retails for $120 US, which makes it the lowest priced 13 Fishing reel. The Inception reel is feature packed with 8 ball bearings, oversized EVA knobs and designed to deliver performance without breaking the bank. However, anglers will only get 2 options for gear ratios: 6.6:1 and 8.1:1.
It is constructed with an aluminum frame and re-enforced graphite sideplates, making it ideal for battle against the largest fish. The Inception will come in left hand configurations as well.
Concept Beetlewing Sideplate Re-Design
13 Fishing also improved the design of their sideplates. In this design change, 13 Fishing has fixed the sideplate on their reels to prevent them from being dropped when you are changing the cast control settings on the brake. The improved design will be phased in and anglers should start seeing these improvements in stores very soon.
Concept Reels Now Available in LH
13 Fishing is now making the Concept A and C reels in in left handed models as well as the new Inception reel. We asked about the KP and Concept E and those seem to be in the works.
