Evercast Edgewater Fishouflage Spinning Reel 2000 – Product Reviewby Nuno Antunes April 12, 2013
Today I’ll be giving you all a bit of information on a great reel that I have been testing all through my ice fishing season. The hard water season is sadly missed already. On the other hand, I’m really looking forward to the soft water season and getting to use these great reels is just the icing on the cake.
The reel I’m talking about is the Edgewater 2000. Not only is it a great looking reel with its Fishouflage print throughout the lightweight graphite frame body; it is also equipped with 10 + 1 ball bearing system and a ratio of 5.5:1. This means that the line spool spins 5.5 times for every 1 full turn of the handle.
The line capacity is great on it too; LBS/YDS 3/250, 4/200, 6/130. There is plenty of line to fight that stubborn fish or jig for those deepwater fish. Check out the video in this report and go over to minute 1:19; you will hear just what this reel’s drag is all about. It handles some big fish in deep water with ease.
The Edgewater 2000 spinning reel is now available at all Walmart stores throughout the US and Canada at the price of $79.97 (Walmart Canada). This is a great price for a great looking reel! It has great capabilities when it comes to fighting your favourite species.
Here is a video of me using the Evercast in ice fishing applications.
