Hawg Tape-Header

It has happened to me many times, I’m out fishing and the bite is on! But when I need to measure my catch, the measuring stick is either stowed away, falls in the water, or in the truck at the marina. Although I have a measuring stick on my boat already, I always find that it’s never stowed somewhere at hand where I’m not stepping; or it’s flying out of the boat at me during a high speed run.

Fumbling with fish

There never seems to be a measuring tape around when you need one! The Hawg Tape is always at hand and can be placed anywhere you need it.

For kayak and canoe anglers a measuring stick is just another piece of equipment that will add weight and take up valuable space. The ability to have a decal on your rig that is always at hand seems like a great idea to me! This season, I had the opportunity to get me hands on a great tool that takes care of these problems. Hawg Tape from F&H is a decal that you can install on your boat, kayak or canoe that you can easily use to measure your catch without fumbling around for a measuring tape.

As a multi-species angler, the Hawg tape is especially useful in situations where I am handling fish with teeth such as Walleye. When I need to quickly check if a fish is within an allowable slot size, the Hawg tape makes it super easy. These decals can be installed on any surface as well as on carpet. The carpet decal version is non-slip and UV protected so it can be walked on without worry.

I have mine installed right along my live well lids so I can quickly take measurements. As the photos show, the Hawg Tape decal gives you a quick measurement that can save you a lot of time.

Several great designs are available from F&H decals. This one is the patriotic version.

Regular Hawg Tape vinyl decals retail between $12-$20 and the carpet decal versions retail for around $22. These decals are very useful and can be found at fhdecals.com.
