Stop Scent from Leaking – Quick Tip
Stop Scent from Leaking – Quick Tip

Nearly all commercial scent bottles will leak. You’ll lose the liquid you’ve paid for and make a mess of your boat or tackle bag. I save and clean plastic mayonnaise and peanut butter jars. They lock in the scented liquid indefinitely. Here’s a few I’ve had rolling around in my boat for years (shown in header above).

Label them up with a marker to keep things organized. If you can get the label from the original bottles, that’s even better. Try to keep similar colors together, to avoid bleaching. If you’re looking to create some creative colors, you can also mix and match inside your jars. A couple chartreuse baits tossed in with your white plastics creates a really nice look.
